This breathtaking Johnson County home is packed with charm and functional style. Built in February 2017, the owners, Scott and Molly Koenigsdorf, chose this 1-acre location because it sits on the same street as Molly’s childhood home. Brimming with nostalgia, this home feels welcoming and ready to make a lifetime of memories in.
The arched cased openings throughout the first floor have a very traditional yet clean style, and they add to the great millwork in the home.
The owners have two favorite rooms in the house. The office, which is warm and inviting, is a great place to escape to get some work done.
“I love that it has a fireplace flanked by a French door on either side with transom windows above,” Molly says.
The second favorite spot and a gathering place for all is the kitchen.
“I’m not the best or most frequent cook, but we do love to entertain,” Molly says. “I don’t think I would change a thing, as it has everything that I’ve ever wanted in a kitchen. The arch hood, walnut island, marble counters and glass uppers are all classic finishes that I hope to love for many years to come.”
This six-bedroom home took nine months to build, and the homeowner did all of the design and furnishings throughout the home herself.
