Exploring your city with your friends or colleagues just got easier and more fun

There is a new, innovative way for your company or group to bond and learn to problem-solve with one another. It involves going on a scavenger hunt together to explore, discover and enjoy a city.

“Strayboots is a leading provider of mobile scavenger hunts and team-building activities that bring happiness and collaboration to groups and organizations,” Ido Rabiner, founder, CEO and owner of Strayboots says. “We started Strayboots based on the idea that exploring your city could be way more fun if you made it into a game.”

Since then, they have expanded to more than 55 cities worldwide, with more than 500,000 players participating. Some 1,000-plus companies, such as Google, Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Nike, Capital One and many more, have already utilized Strayboots’ mobile team-building activities to boost camaraderie and morale.

Strayboots works with event organizers and human resources personnel to choose the right location and activity for their team. All teams need is their smartphones, since they get the instructions and run the challenges from their own devices. There are a variety of fun themes and members solve clever riddles and perform multiple unique activities, all picking each other’s brains and coming up with solutions together. Prices range from $30 to $50 per person.

“Every scavenger hunt that we create is unique. We are going out into the field, scouting every location, picking fun, interesting spots and notable points of interest to include, and building the best competitive adventure you can get,” Ido says. “Our hunts in Kansas City are built in great locations like the River Market or the Country Club Plaza, where people can find a mix of indoor and outdoor challenges with a lot of diversity, unique stores, famous buildings, great markets and more.”

Everyone wins when they participate. On one hand, employees and participants get a unique activity that takes them out of the office and into the field, forcing them to work together with their teammates, build stronger relationships and have lots of fun. And on the other hand, for companies, unique team-building activities create a stronger team environment, guaranteeing happier employees and more productive workplaces.

“You just need to tell us where, when and how many people, and we’ll take care of the rest!” says Jeremy Brooks, vice president and co-founder of Strayboots, who was born in Kansas City. “We’ll send you all the hunt options, work with you to customize the activity for your team and send you all of the instructions—you just focus on the fun, plain and simple.”

Those who have participated in these scavenger hunts have words of praise and feel the adventure helps them get to know their co-workers on a new level. Plus, it’s a good way to involve exercise with education. There is something about every city that is unique, and this is a perfect way to discover that special gem while broadening your knowledge and perhaps stepping out of your comfort zone.

It does sound like a win-win.
