Medical Spa Offers Tools to Reverse the Aging Process
Soft music plays in the small facial room as the soothing scent of essential oils fills the air. The client is cozy and warm under a soft blanket on a heated table. An hour later, the customer emerges relaxed with glowing, healthy skin.
Reverse Medical Spa, in Lenexa, offers a variety of facials and other traditional services like waxing and massage. But it’s unique in the many cutting edge solutions it offers to reverse the aging process.
“As a medical spa, we have a doctor on staff, along with specially trained nurses and aestheticians,” explains Sandra Karley, BSN. “That allows us to do more, like injections, laser treatments, and CoolSculpting®. Even among medical spas, we are unusual in that we have a doctor on site.”
The staff at Reverse Medical Spa works with each patient to identify their concerns and provide a medically based treatment plan that best meets their needs. “We strive to achieve natural, but significant results without breaking the bank,” says Karley.
All products used in the spa and sold for at-home use are high quality, pharmaceutical grade and proven safe and effective.
CoolSculpting® is one of the spa’s newest high tech services, which they began offering last year. It’s a system that uses controlled cooling to freeze and eliminate unwanted fat cells underneath the skin, without any surgery or downtime. The process is FDA approved and the results last.
“Once the fat cells are frozen, your body naturally eliminates the dead cells and they are gone for good,” says Nicole Kleiss, aesthetician. “You begin to see a difference 30 days after the treatment, but the most dramatic results are at the 60 to 90 day mark.”
CoolSculpting® targets problem areas like the abdomen, love handles, thighs and the double chin. This treatment is a more affordable and less risky alternative to invasive procedures like liposuction. There is little to no downtime so most patients can return to normal activities following their treatment.
Another very popular treatment at Reverse is called Sublime Skin Tightening and Wrinkle Reduction. It treats sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles using bi-polar radio frequency and infrared light.
“Combining these two energies produces great results,” explains Kleiss. “Because we don’t break the surface of the skin, there is no downtime. Most patients are red for no more than an hour post treatment and you can put makeup on directly after.”
The more invasive Sublative treatment addresses deeper skin conditions such as scarring, pigmentation and deeper wrinkles. It directs radio frequency energy into the skin to correct problem areas.
“Initially, the skin is inflamed and swollen, so patients should plan for about three to five days of downtime,” says Kleiss. “But the ultimate result is new collagen is produced, and the skin’s texture and color irregularities are improved.”
Injectable fillers are another way to fight the signs of aging on your skin and they offer a wide variety of products, including Botox, Dysport, Sculptra and Restylane Lyft and Silk, to name a few. The highly trained staff can help patients select the right product and treatment plan for their desired results.
“I think the way we treat our clients speaks volume,” says Karley. “When you are here at Reverse, we treat you like family. We strive to achieve real results within your budget. We also keep up on the latest trends by continual training and investing in the latest lasers and new treatments.”
