Community members, alumni, friends and family are invited to the first-ever Saints Stampede 5K Cross Country Run/Walk, Pancake Breakfast and Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 11. This event is the official kickoff of a year-long series of “Celebrating 25 Years of Saints” events. The Saints Stampede begins at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School, 114th and Pflumm Rd. in Overland Park with prayer at 7:30 a.m., followed by a certified race that starts at 8 a.m. The day also includes a Middle School (5th – 8th grades) 5K Round-Up beginning at 8:10 a.m. and a Stroller Strut (for stroller pushers) at 8:30 am. A free Fun Run for kids 10 and under, a pancake breakfast and a wide variety of activities in the gym and stadium round out the festivities.
